Killsbury I also have this issue on many projects that require lots of un-nesting. I have tried troubleshooting it and can't figure it out. If I do, I'll let you know. For me it happens after doing it about 20+ times on the same timeline. It does all steps in the process (going to closest in point, into nested sequence, etc.) but just doesn't place the clip. Sometimes I'll try 3-4 times on the same clip and it'll work. It's weird.
