Count clips - loop X times

There is currently no way of determining how many clips are selected that I want to apply a command to; so a feature request would be a series of commands for counting how many clips are selected, then using that number to control looping a section of a user command that many times.

Yes, that is a good idea. I still think about wether it is a good thing to pass variables (x clips selected, x is used in next command), because this will move Excalibur to a simple coding land, which I'm not against of, but that requires some good preparation.
Though for a simple approach I can add options to a loop command:

manual number of loops
number based on clips selection

That's a great idea! So long as there is a way for me to control what specifically loops.

Fwiw, you can determine how many clips you have selected by using the Info window, which will dynamically change based on what you have selected. I do a lot of looping items by using this data and sending it to Keyboard Maestro. A KM + Excalibur pairing would be pretty sweet, since that already hands really heavy scripting (with easy programming).

adamjrichman Yes, info panel is very usefu, though I try not to use screen image analysis for Excalibur. Luckily I easily can get this information with Premiere API.

Agreed, not for scripting but for a manual eye glance to then enter the data in a prompt. That's how I use it at least.
