  • Effects Presents don't include Eased/Bezier key frames

Hey there!

When I load up an effect preset from Excalibur it doesn't include Eased keyframes. The key frames are still there but they are linear instead of the eased/bezier frames in the present. I thought it was something wrong with my preset but when I click and drag the preset from the effects panel all my key frames are eased/bezier. Any ideas on that?

Hey there, loving Excalibur so far though this is a biggie as eased keyframing is at the heart of my process. Any updates or projected fix time? Thanks!

Sir futurephonic sadly no updates at the moment. I'm quite busy with other parts of Excalibur and Watchtower. But I will push this up in my priorities (after all I wanted to try something for a while, just don't have time).

Any Updates on this issue? Would really help my workflow if this problem was solved somehow 🙂

NoahW1431 there was a fix actually on Premiere API, which is great!
But... it doesn't work as it should, so it looks like that in one of the next updates I will make a workaround for that problem.

I have a smooth zoom transform effect that I have binded to a key, but when I press it it replaces the bezier keyframes with linear ones which throws off the smooth look of the zoom. Is there a way around this?

Merged 1 post from Bezier Keyframe Support.

dpeco this is Premiere Pro API bug.
At some point I plan to add workaround for it.

flashi no updates yet. Currently I'm alone in my "developer castle", so it is hard to give enough time to every project.

no update. But now there is a hope that I will make it work 🪄

Sir_Ivan hey! not sure if you're aware, but the extension "drag & zoom" recently received an update integrating support for bezier keyframe interpolation, so i was wondering if there has been any developments on adobe's end with their API, or if the team behind drag & zoom somehow found a work around? either way, i found the news exciting and was curious if you had any updates concerning this feature in excalibur. thank you for your time (:

nadja I see that it is possible to add bezier keyframes, however it is still limited (no possibility to change curves in bezier keyframes), but this is at least something.
I will try to add this to next Excalibur update.

I will soon push a little update that will add support for standard bezier keyframes. However, if animation curve was modified, it won't be translated by Excalibur.
