Do not duplicate Bins

i have a Bin in my Premiere Pro template project called "footage."

i import a bunch of images from a folder called "footage."

Instead of importing everything into the existing "footage" Bin, Watchtower creates a new Bin called "footage." Now i have two "footage" Bins. It would be great if Watchtower could detect an existing Bin with that name and import everything there instead.

NAaT you already have a template project, do you also have a template folder structure along with it? If yes then you can add "Footage" folder with Watchtower initially at template creation stage. Use relative link and you will be able to move template folder structure around and "Footage" bin will still be linked.

Interesting challenge because Bins can have duplicate names and are identified programmatically. So our engineers would need to make a guess as follows: if there's an existing bin named "footage" prompt or defer to settings to put the files there. Otherwise make an additional named bin.

Sir_Ivan Not... really? My template project has a bunch of Bins in it, and a bunch of Windows folders. One Bin is called "footage," and it contains some common items pulled from various differently-named folders on an entirely different drive. But i also want the stuff i throw into the "footage" Windows folder to show up in that Bin.

NAaT so this "footage" folder is the same one for all projects? Then you can add it as absolute path in your template. All files you will throw there will be added in every project that you base on that template.
