Ivan, first off, I love what you're doing with Knights. Thanks for your hard work. I have two issues which may or may not be related. To avoid confusion, I'll only describe one of them here, but I will briefly mention the second issue at the end of this post, in case it is relevant.
Description
Submenu for Nest Individual Clips does not open, either through unsheathing Excalibur or with shortcut. I've observed the same issue with Nest Clips, though Individual Clips is the command I really need. Other commands, such as various effects commands, seem to be working.
Expected Behavior
Selecting Nest Individual Clips from Excalibur, or typing my keyboard shortcut, should open a submenu with the option to choose Premiere Nest or Excalibur Nest. Choosing one of these options launches the command.
Actual Behavior
A blank window appears, with title "Nest Individual Clips", but no menu options loading.
Possible Fix
In fact, I thought I had fixed it yesterday. I checked and reset Privacy & Security permissions, uninstalled and reinstalled Excalibur with the latest version, removed the Spellbook json file and other Application Support preferences files, updated Premiere to the latest version, restarted my computer, and it was working. Then, suddenly, a few hours later, the bug appeared again. It is possible, though I'm not 100% sure, that I updated to the latest version of Grave Robber before it stopped working (I updated it at some point, but I'm not sure if it was before or after the bug reappeared). I can't think of anything else that would have changed.
Steps to Reproduce
Described above
Context
I have about 1000 clips spread across a few sequences, and need to individually nest so that I can export and send to the client... today! (of course)
Your Environment
- Excalibur version: 1.3.4
- Premiere Pro version: 26.2.2 (Build 3)
- Operating System and version: MacOS Tahoe 26.5
(Other)
The second (potentially related?) issue: during the period of time when Excalibur seemed to be working as expected (ie the submenus were opening), I used Excalibur Nest to nest individual clips on several sequences. However, some of these nests appeared blank. The clips were created in the Nested Clips bin, but they appeared as empty spaces in the original sequence. When I open these clips from the Project browser, they are completely empty. I can't think of anything differentiating these empty nested clips (linked media, fx, etc) from the successfully nested clips. I'll hold off on creating a second post for this issue until this initial one is resolved.
