Writing sequence markers to underlying clips

Greetings. Is there a way to use Excalibur or some other script that allows you to write sequence markers to the underlying clips?

For instance, just the clips on V1 as seen in the image.

A_T nothing in Excalibur for that.
You can apply marker to selected clips, but you will need to type marker name:

I had a keyboard macro that would duplicate sequence markers as clip markers, can't find it now but it went something like:

Deselect all
Go to next marker (sequence as no clips selected)
Edit marker
Tab to Comment entry (where I keep marker text)
Copy
Escape out of marker dialogue
Select clip at play head (obeys track lights, which are tricky to script as there's no deselect all. In practice I'd just be doing this to V1)
Add marker
Edit marker
Tab to comment
Paste text
Enter to save marker
