How do I trim only the selected clip on a timeline with a shortcut key?

Fellow Editors,
You can use Q and W for ripple trimming left and right, but this will affect all timelines. I'm looking for a shortcut that will only trim the clip on the current track that I have selected. Is there such a feature in Excalibur innately? If not, how to create it?

Ok, I did it! This is my new command for ripple trimming left on one selected clip and not affecting other timelines:

This is a game changer! This command should be innate to Premiere Pro.

I just discovered the power of the Excalibur. Previously I was using it just to execute some innate Premiere's transitions. But now I'll use it for creating my own commands, using pre-build presets and more! Behold the power of the excalibur!

Also if you don't want to use ripple trim, but just trim for selected layers, you can use Trim In/Out Point to Playhead command:

What I meant is to use "Ripple Trim Previous Edit To Playhead", which is by default the Q keyboard shortcut in Premiere, but for it to function only on one track and to the selected clip.

But this works only when you are reviewing clips put on only one track and having all the other track empty. What I would like is for it to work on only one track, not to affect all the other tracks where I have other clips.

The commands Trim In/Out Point to Playhead while very useful, I believe they behave a bit differently – they do not delete the empty space created after executing the command.

mikolaj I do know about that feature, I meant that if you don't need ripple option, you can use commands I wrote above.

For Q/W to not affect other tracks, I usually switch off sync-lock (for both video and audio).
So e.g.

sync-lock OFF for all tracks
sync-lock ON for tracks with selected clips
Q/W
sync-lock ON for all tracks (to reset it back)

Yes, this is exactly how I created my new "one-clip Q" command.
