Excalibur - commands no longer working, or severely lagging.

Hi, Sir Ivan; I hope you are well. I am having an issue that recently cropped up. Excalibur functions have recently been lagging significantly or are outright not running. I recently noticed this issue crop up; any time I ran a command it would be lagging a ton (take a long time before it executed, as in 30+ seconds). I restarted Premiere, and this would fix it. Yesterday I was working on big project file (w/ 8 TBs of R3D footage), and I was consistently having problems. I assumed this was the large project causing lag.

However, today I created a new file from scratch, used Watchtower to import footage (again, 8TB, but only a couple clips on a timeline), and this happened: https://youtu.be/guEF0GYntOg
Commands just didn't work at all. I restarted the Premiere, and they were working again, but I suspect it's temporary and will begin to lag again.

Please note this wasn't happening with other large projects, until recently.

Expected Behavior

Commands should work / not lag.

Actual Behavior

Commands don't run, or lag (after a certain period of time in a project).

Possible Fix

I'm unsure, but this could be related to either a lot of footage being imported (even if not used), or a new Premiere update.

Good day sir!
Do you have a lot of items in project panel?
You can unfold all folders in Project panel — hold alt down and click on unfold icon near any bin, then you will see item counter in the right corner of Project panel.

I suspect Watchtower could occupy API, thus preventing Excalibur from work.

Hi Ivan,
Yes I have 1144 items imported into the project, mostly R3D and wav files. I understand this is an adobe API limitation- I would much rather lose Watchtower functionality than Excalibur functionality. Should I disable or remove Watchtower from my system? Maybe the problem is with "the auto-sync feature" in Watchtower?

jacobjc please write me to support@knightsoftheeditingtable.com, we will start with disabling Watchtower, to see if it is a culprit. But also I will send you Watchtower beta, which should solve that API limitation.

Thanks so much, I'm sorry I never reached back out. I've just downloaded the newly released Watchtower v1.5.0, I will report back if I have continued issues.
