Import trimmed clip from monitor source to timeline

Hi Sir Ivan,

Just bought Excalibur plugin during Black Plague, what an amazing plugin it is, it literally changed my whole workflow and way of thinking on how to edit quickly
At this stage, i'm still setting up Excalibur with my Loupedeck CT so I can have access to quick macros.

After looking all over the internet, I can't seem to find the correct shortcut to insert a trimmed clip from the monitor source to my current timeline, is it possible first through Excalibur to insert such clips ?
The way the native "insert" function Premiere Pro has, isn't intuitive for my use as once I click on insert, a "fit clip" window pops up saying " Source clip is shorter than the destination " and it gives different options to choose like :

Slow down clip speed
Ignore In sequence point
Ignore End sequence point

Whatever option I'm choosing, it inserts the trimmed clip all the way to the start of my timeline which pushes forward my whole editing timeline.
The only proper way for me atm is to drag and drop the trimmed clip to the end of where I'm currently editing and I was hoping that with your plugin I'd be able to do such basic thing Adobe should have think of..

Hopefully somebody or the creator himself will be able to help me out.. kinda frustrated at this moment regarding this feature..

Good day to thee, Sir @Yungben,

insert clip command behaviour depends on in/out points set in timeline.
If there is no in/out point, then clip will be inserted at playhead position and no fit clip dialog will appear.

Thank you Sir for helping me out figuring how it properly works! My issue has been solved and for those who are looking to make the same macros as me here's how I proceeded with my CT :

Basically, when inserting a clip in an editing timeline you'll have to remove IN/OUT point of the current editing timeline you are working on or the native Premiere pro software will pop up a window saying " The clip is shorter than the destination ". Once removed you'll see when inserting a clip that it splits the audio tracks where your playhead is.
To avoid that, just lock the audio tracks so it can be added to the editing timeline without affecting the audio tracks

Through Loupedeck CT software : add insert shortcut to whatever button you'd like then add a LOCK All audio tracks also directly through Loupedeck's software. Every macros are native to loupedeck so no need for an excalibur shortcut here finally
For keyboard user, with Excalibur, just assigned a macro for Lock/ Unlock all audio tracks and look out for this function through Excalibur's searchbar, then just hit the insert button underneath your Source monitor and here you go, your trimmed clip will be inserted in the editing timeline without affecting all your current work

Maybe a cool feature to be added in the future would be the ability to insert a trimmed clip next to the latest clip in the editing timeline as of today, the inserted trimmed clip will either overwrite current edited clip by clicking native Premiere Pro button or be added where the playhead is when using macros
