Open/Start/Redo Transcript & Captions Functionality?

Greetings my fellow knights,

I humbly seek counsel on a matter close to my heart. I have searched for any support on Excalibur for opening the transcript panel or commencing the transcription process, yet my quest has been in vain. Alas! My search for Transcript or Captions in the Excalibur search proved fruitless.

There is a glimmer of hope that Keyboard shortcuts could act as a workaround. However, it would be an excellent boon if these features were integrated natively.

I beseech you to proffer any advice or assistance that may shed light on this matter.

Sir Chris,

at the moment I think Trancsript/Captions are not in API. There is only possibility to create captions track from existing SRT file, but that is all.
I will keep an eye on it for sure.

Might it be feasible for us to have the feature of opening or switching to the transcript or text panel? Moreover, it would be a boon if we could focus or jump to panels via Excalibur. As it stands, this can only be achieved through custom commands.

In the realm of transcribing, a command to initiate the process automatically on a clip or sequence would be most advantageous.

I ask for your sage counsel and assistance in addressing these concerns, for the betterment of our chivalrous pursuits.

I think there is a native shortcut for Transcribing the Sequence. Not sure about clips. But that field is a new for Premiere Pro and I believe there should be more improvements from Adobe team in upcoming updates.

However, I will take a note of focusing panels feature and look into it!
