ivandepaz Premiere's autosave is killing my productivity and I don't want to be manually doing Save. Would it be possible to do some kind of extension that would do an external autosave in the background so we wouldn't need to relay on Premiere's autosave?
NLE_Ninja That function is in beta with the public beta of Premiere at the moment. I'm not sure if they'll ever get to the point where you don't manually save but having to points of saving has always been handy for me.
ivandepaz NLE_Ninja. Thanks NLE_Ninja. I was not aware of the public beta. I'm still in 22.2.0 in the middle of a big project with more people and we are not upgrading to avoid problems. It will be great if it comes to the official version and properly working. If this doesn't happen would be great to have some 3rd party software to fix it. I suppose is not an easy task...
NLE_Ninja ivandepaz Gotcha. Best part of the public beta is that you can install it side by side with the official release without issue. Since you are still on 22.2.0 on a big project, I would wait to go to 23.0. Here's a forum link in regards to Background Auto Save in case you want to offer your two cents :-) https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-discussions/discuss-background-auto-save-now-in-premiere-pro-beta/td-p/13248391
Sir_Ivan Yeap, Beta has new background autosave feature. I think if it would be possible to create such extension it probably would work the same as it works right now in Beta (though I don't believe that current API will allow to create autosave extension).
