My projects require selecting subclips and organizing them into bins. Works fine. But on occasion you want to find the ORIGINAL (master) clip in PremierePro. For example: you know the shot in the timeline was filmed close to a different clip you want. But if you hit ‘f’ and then right click to choose ‘Reveal in project’ it takes you to your selected subclip. There is no easy way to reveal the original. You have to note the subclip’s name, search in the project, note what folder it appears, delete the search and then scroll down to the clip. Not fun. In an Avid you just would match frame from the sequence twice and the master clips loads in the source window. Easy peezy.
Question us: is there a way to do this with Excalibur? Maybe with macros?
