I have a keyboard command that I'm trying to achieve. I have a keystroke of Q triggering a random key in the "Keyboard Shortcut" option in Excalibur. Then I want it to add a constant power audio cut at the same time. After fiddling for awhile I got it to work, but it only seems to work once every 2 to 3 times I do it. Why is that? a Bug of sorts? Slow to catch up to the commands?

jcuttin I feel like I have an idea why, it has something to do with what sides of the audio track is selected at the time. Anyone have an idea how you would make sure the transition was added on every cut?

jcuttin could you give more details about what are you trying to achieve, is it to add transition to every cut in a sequence?

Sir_Ivan Basically yes, if I wasn't rendering something I would screenshot what I have so far. What I'm going for is an automatic constant power or gain added to the classic Q and W ripple cuts. Something as I edit instead of just doing it all at the end of the project so I can tweak the necessary transition to sound optimal. I have a Q or W key triggering the adobe shortcut of Ripple, then adding another Adobe shortcut for Deselect all tracks, then adding the constant power audio transition. The Deselect shortcut seems to do the trick but if feel there must be a better way. It still seems a little slow to process, and seems to lag 1 out of 10 times, and doesn't actually complete the task.

Oh, interesting user command!
I've tried on my machine and it works:

Press Q
Press shift+alt+A
Add Transition

In case of lag, what you can do is to add Wait command between those shortcuts presses. Set it to let's say 50-100 milliseconds. Increase if it is still not reliable.
Basically it just gives some time for Premiere Pro to acknowledge keypress.

Sir_Ivan thanks! the wait command seemed to have made a huge difference. Even set at just 10, it has enough time to process.
