A tool that would have infinite value would be one that can convert the keyframes from one effect into keyframes on another. I thought of this when using Kamil Pekala's incredible Mask to Transform extension, which allows the user to easily motion track clips in Premiere. I figured that if one could convert the keyframes from the Mask into keyframes on a Transform, then it must be possible to convert the keyframes from that Transform into keyframes on a Magnify, Lens Flare, Corner Pin, Twirl Warp, or even just the Anchor Point of the same Transform instead of its Position.
I would imagine the difficulty in creating an extension like this would be integrating the sheer number of different values across every effect, which could take a lot of time to do one by one, as well as considering that not all values are so easily convertible (rotation values are unique, positional values are two numbers as opposed to scale values which are one, check marks are Boolean), but I think the most useful use case here would definitely just be converting coordinate keyframes. Scale and rotation would also be great, but coordinates primarily. A very common annoyance for me is creating keyframes on the default Motion effect, and then deciding I want my clip to have motion blur, and having to recreate those same keyframes in a Transform to get the desired effect, so something like this would completely remove that headache
Even without considering Kamil Pekala's fantastic motion tracking plugin, Keyframe Conversion would just open up so many new doors in Premiere. I marked this post as "Other" as well as "Excalibur," because I'm not entirely certain how difficult a tool like this would be to develop, and how you would want to go about creating its interface. If it's as easy as pressing a button, then it'd certainly fit with Excalibur, but if it requires its own panel, would probably be better off as "Other." Additionally, I've only marked the post as "Discuss & Help" as you are required to add two Primary tags in order to create a post.
