Being able to remove all attributes on a clip with Excalibur would be fantastic, so that it would only take a single hotkey to replace all of the effects on one clip with new effects. I work in the YouTube space, where color correctors, motion data, transform data, and keys are often reused. When it comes to a picture-in-picture editing workflow, if I want to have multiple preset camera angles for the smaller camera, I would apply a Transform and a Crop. To swap to a different preset camera angle, I have to remove the Transform and the Crop before applying the second preset.
If I could put "Remove All Attributes" at the beginning of an Excalibur hotkey, it would just wipe the clip clean of previous effects before applying the new effects and changing the camera's position. Additionally, just being able to remove attributes with a single hotkey would be fantastic in itself. The Remove All Attributes currently in Premiere allows you to select what specific attribute you wish to remove, and I don't know how complicated that would be to implement into Excalibur, but "Remove All Transforms" and "Remove All Crops" in Excalibur would definitely be more powerful than just a flat "Remove All Attributes" (Additionally, perhaps a "Remove All Video Attributes" and a "Remove All Audio Attributes"? Again, no idea how complicated that would be.)
Super glad I've discovered these Forums! I see many others have suggested adding clips from the bin and that you're working on it, so if I make another post with an idea, I'll avoid making one about that. 😅
