Title says it all. Paste clip on the same track is so fundamentally useful... the only thing it's lacking is the ability to paste INSERT on the same track. The paste insert function pushes all the clips forward to "make space" for the pasted clips. We need that same ability for Paste clips on the same track.
⌘+V = paste
⌘+⇧+V = paste insert
⌃+V = paste on same track
⌃+⇧+V = paste insert on same track
