So, Watchtower is awesome. Loving it. I've always kept Premiere's Bin really simple: one folder called Edit for all the sequences, and one called Footage, for all the footage. Each type gets its own folder. ~/Footage/Stock, for example. So I've been keeping ~/Footage/ in sync with Premiere and it's been lovely.
The issue I'm having is for Stock footage, I sort into subfolders by date and theme, ie: ~/Footage/Stock/210608 - new intro/A05 - kids playing/
Most of our stock comes from Filmpac. So I'll download a 4K zip into the above folder, and then in the background, I am running a Hazel script on the folder that: 1. extracts the mp4s from the zip, 2. deletes the zip, 3. moves the footage from the folder that was based on the zip file's name and into the enclosing folder, A05 - kids playing.
The problem is is that Watchtower, with autosync on, will grab this content too quickly, and then it will become offline, and I've got all these dialogue windows popping up and annoying me. I've had to revert back to manual sync (which like, who wants to push a button if it can be avoided?).
What would solve this issue is a small delay that I could set, either at a folder-specific setting or globally, where it would keep an eye the folders, but wait for a second or two before trying to autosync. Like — make sure whatever's happening in there has truly "settled" before trying to bring it in to Premiere.
Does this make sense? Is it possible?
Cheers, and thanks for a lovely plugin!
