Film Impact Transitions + Transition Presets

I really love Excalibur but some of the transitions don't work right. If I want to apply the Film Impact Light Leak transition between two clips - I have a shortcut for that - but when I apply it, it automatically applies the default transition. This is the case for a number of Film Impact transitions. Most of them work but I'm curious if there's a workaround for getting the other ones to work.

Also - it's not mentioned in the manuscript but is it possible to add transition presets?

I'm on a Mac with Big Sur 11.2.3, Premiere 15, and have Excalibur 1.1.1

So some of Film Impact transitions are not applied? Is it random or only specific transitions don't work?

Sadly there is no API to control transitions presets.

Tested all Film Impact transitions. Found 4 not working ones:

FI: Light Leaks Impacts
FI: Stripes Impacts
FI: Chroma Leaks Impacts
FI: Kaleido Impacts

Will be fixed in next update!

@Sir_Ivan - I still haven't been able to get the FI Light Leaks transition to work - it just uses the default transition. The other 3 FI transitions you mentioned in your previous comment all work fine though. Can you see if Light Leaks works on your end? Thanks!

Joey Those transitions work for me/Excalibur and I'm on the 4.6.1 update as of yesterday. It tends to be the newer items they add that take time to implemented. The transitions you mentioned have been in Film Impact since before Excalibur existed.

Looks like it works for me (though I have latest Excalibur beta). What Excalibur version do you have?

NLE_Ninja - Thanks! Yeah I had Film Impact 4.5.9 and just updated to 4.6.1. Light Leaks is working now.

@Sir_Ivan - I have the latest version 1.1.4. Looks like it was an issue with an older version of Film Impact.

Issue is solved by updating to the latest version of Film Impact.
