So Watchtower will remap labels that Premiere Pro gives to specific media types (video, image, audio) and also fine tune them (mov vs mp4, etc).

This will go against #1 of your suggestion. How do you imagine it, either #1 either #3?
How should it work in this case:

First import, all clips labeled red.
Second import, all new clips labeled red, what happens to clips from first import?

Sorry should have clarified some things!

Being able to specify file extensions getting certain labels would be a plus. For instance I use a mix of TS, MP4, and MOV files, all with different purposes, so would be helpful.
I meant providing the option to turn on recognizing filenames that end with (1) or '-copy' and applying a seperate label to that, so not exact duplicates but still the same files. However, I assume this will be more hassle then it's worth and thinking it over probably not as practical as I thought 😂
I get the point about possibly defeating the purpose of #1, especially if you're working with a project-based workflow where you'd be importing all the footage required from the beginning.. I'll explain my reasoning a bit more!

My editing workflow is based around working in news and so we have a constant stream of footage going into bins, and as they are from different time zones and languages it's hard to organise them alphabetically or by creation. Therefore, if new files are added to the folder it would be helpful to have a toggle that could highlight them until newer ones are added.

These are all minor suggestions though! I'm really enjoying the app and it is saving me a lot of time. Thanks!

It is an intersection option, I will think of it.
This one is complicated when you start thinking in different languages '-копия', '-コピー'. This is the reason why I didn't create a built-in folder filter for new folders 'untitled folder' and left it for users to decide.
It is a complicated idea, but interesting. What if there will be a rename on import option? Like add date, time (anything else). Then it will be possible to sort files by name.

Completely understand these aren't simple to impliment! Thank you for making the forum and being so responsive, I'm really hoping to get Excalibur soon and can't wait for it to grow even more!

Rename on import is definitely interesting. Potentially could let users have their own array of Regex patterns to look for? For instance I need to take sections of livestreams from different websites and they all have different timecodes, so being able to regulate that would be amazing. To be honest though that sounds so difficult it's almost like a seperate extension on it's own!

Ha, I see that bug. It is related to forum itself, guys who developed it are aware of it and will fix it at some point.

I will think of renaming (or Watchtower can modify comment field) options, that could be interesting addition.

Hey @Colloquial, I don't know why I didn't think about this initially, but I will add just a new metadata field "Date added" (Premiere Pro only) for each new imported item.
This way you will be able to sort imported items by time/date they were imported in a project.
